The role in plain English

You see 4 to 8 patients per day in their homes across Oxford and Lafayette County, Mississippi. Every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one, with the same licensed PT — you — every visit. You set your own calendar. You manage your own plans of care as a fully licensed, independent clinician practicing under your own Mississippi PT license.

Typical caseload mix

  • Senior mobility, strength, and fall prevention (~40%)
  • Post-surgical rehab — joint replacement, spine, cardiac (~25%)
  • General orthopedic and musculoskeletal (~20%)
  • Return-to-activity coaching for active older adults (~15%)

You will not see pelvic floor patients — Dr. Cochran retains that service line exclusively.

Compensation

+$15 / initial eval 90-minute comprehensive assessment
Paid twice monthly Direct deposit, 1st and 15th

At 20 visits/week averaging $85/visit, that's $1,700/week gross. Full-time at ~30 visits/week = ~$130,000/year gross 1099 income. As a 1099 contractor you cover your own self-employment tax (~15.3%); net after SE tax lands around $105-110K at full-time.

About Where You Are

Dr. Meg Cochran founded Where You Are Physical Therapy in 2026 because the conventional outpatient model — 15 minutes of PT attention split between three patients and a tech — wasn't how she wanted to practice medicine. We come to the patient. In their home. In their living room. At their pace.

We are cash-pay only. No insurance billing. No prior authorizations. No visit caps. No mid-session handoffs to a tech. Every session is 60 full minutes, one-on-one, with the same licensed PT every visit.

We started with pelvic floor therapy for women and men. We're now expanding to senior mobility, post-surgical rehab, and general concierge orthopedic care — and we're hiring the PT who will lead those service lines. That could be you.
