You Don't Have to Leave Taylor for This
Taylor is a special place. Small, quiet, rooted. The kind of community where people know each other and look out for each other. But when it comes to healthcare, especially specialized care, you've always had to leave. Drive up Old Taylor Road into Oxford. Fight traffic. Find parking. Get there on time.
Meg doesn't think that should be the barrier. She comes to you, right there in Taylor, whether you're on a farm property, a country road off Hwy 328, or anywhere else in the area. The drive to Oxford is about 12 minutes when it's just you, but when you're postpartum or dealing with pelvic pain, that 12 minutes can feel like a lot. It doesn't have to be.
Call or text (662) 832-1790 and we'll figure out a time that works.
Just Had a Baby at Baptist Memorial? You Don't Have to Go Back Out Yet
A lot of Taylor moms deliver at Baptist Memorial in Oxford. That's great. But after you're home and recovering, the idea of strapping a newborn into the car seat and driving back to Oxford for PT appointments, week after week, is exhausting just to think about.
Meg comes to your house for your postpartum pelvic floor visits. You don't have to get the baby ready, you don't have to time it around a feeding, and you don't have to worry about being back by a certain hour. She works around your schedule, at your home, in the quiet of Taylor.
Postpartum pelvic floor recovery is real care, not optional care. Leaking when you sneeze, pressure down low, pain with intercourse, a feeling like things just aren't right since delivery. These aren't things you have to live with. They're things Meg treats, and she'll do it right there at your kitchen table or living room floor.
Who Meg Sees in Taylor
Pelvic floor therapy isn't only for new moms, though that's a big part of what Meg does. She sees women across the board.
- Postpartum women, whether you delivered 6 weeks ago or 6 years ago
- Women with leaking (stress incontinence, urgency, the "I can't make it to the bathroom" feeling)
- Pelvic pain, including pain with intercourse or pain that just hangs around low in your pelvis
- Pelvic organ prolapse, that heavy or bulging sensation
- Pregnancy prep, working with your body before labor
- Perimenopause and menopause-related pelvic changes
If you've been putting off dealing with something because it felt like too much of a production to get care, that's exactly the kind of situation Meg built this practice for.
What Your First Visit Looks Like
Meg shows up at your home. That's the whole model. She brings what she needs, sets up wherever you're comfortable, and you get a real, thorough evaluation.
That first visit is 90 minutes to 2 hours. She takes a full history, asks about your symptoms, your births, your goals. The internal pelvic floor assessment is part of it, always explained and always your choice in terms of pacing. By the end, you know what's going on and what the plan is.
No rushing. No waiting room. No intake paperwork that takes 20 minutes. Just a focused session with a doctor of physical therapy who's done this work for years. HSA and FSA are accepted, so if you've got those funds sitting there, this is exactly what they're for.
About Dr. Meg Cochran
Meg is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with specialized training in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She's also a mom of four, which matters in ways that are hard to fully explain.
She's been through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery herself, more than once. She knows what it's like to feel like your body isn't fully yours again after having a baby. She knows the fatigue that makes self-care feel selfish. She's not going to judge anything you tell her.
She started a mobile practice because she believed women in rural communities, people living outside the clinic corridor, deserved the same quality of care. Taylor is exactly the kind of place she had in mind.
